DNA extracted from cells was treated with anti-5-methylcytosine antibody, stained with the "capture antibody" and the "detection antibody" and then quantified by an EliSa-like reaction. DNA extracted from HCT-siDNMT1 cells appeared demethylated in comparison to that extracted from HCT116 cells.
