K17 impacts the extent of AnxA2 Y23 phosphorylation. A, A431 cells with stable knockdown of K17 or vector control were growth factor-deprived and stimulated with the indicated concentration of EGF for 30 min. B, skin keratinocytes were obtained from K17+/− or K17−/− newborn mice (n = 4 each) and seeded for primary culture. Whole cell lysates were prepared in Triton lysis buffer. Immunoblotting was performed with antibodies against the indicated proteins. C, pAnxA2 and AnxA2 signal intensities from B were quantified using the AlphaView SA software.
