The novel flavonoid didymin inhibits N-Myc transcription. Didymin down-regulated PI3K, Akt, vimentin and up regulated RKIP. Didymin down regulated cyclin D1, CDK4 and importantly cyclin B1, which is down-stream effector of p53 mediated cell-cycle regulation. Didymin decreased the angiogenic marker CD31, proliferation marker ki67 and N-Myc in vivo as revealed by histopathological examination of resected tumors. Dotted arrows -Normal signal transduction, normal arrows - Up regulation of signaling protein due to didymin, T-shaped lines -Inhibitory effect of didymin.
