Mice were subjected to 1 h of cerebral ischemia followed by 24 h of reperfusion. A. Animals were injected with vehicle (control) or IA at 1 to 50 mg/kg intra-peritoneal (i.p.) at the end of the ischemic period. Animals were sacrificed on day 2 and processed to determine the infarct volume. *p < 0.04 for IA (1 mg/kg) compared to control; **p < 0.0001 for IA (10 or 50 mg/kg) compared to control. B.
