Effect of sublethal TSP treatment on the survival of C. jejuni NCTC11168 during heat stress. C. jejuni cells were incubated in BB (▲) or BB containing 0.6% TSP (■) for 30 min in aerobic conditions at 37°C. Subsequently, the cells were resuspended in fresh BB and incubated at 48°C for 3 h, where survival was determined as CFU/ml, and data are presented as the mean log₁₀ CFU/ml ± the SD of three experiments.
