Note the large amount of “negative inhibitors” in the bottom part of the plot. The negative inhibition scatter is attributed to the substrate fluorophore (7-methoxycoumarin) excitation wavelength, making the primary HTS campaign assay prone to the interference from fluorescent compounds contained in the screening file.
