C57Bl/6 mice were intranasally with 50 CFU SchuS4. Three days after infection mice were treated once daily with 5 mg/kg LVF diluted in 5% dextrose water intraperitoneally for 14 days. At the indicated time points animals (n = 5/group) were euthanized and lungs and spleens were homogenized. Homogenates were assessed for presence of the indicated cytokines using Flex Set Cytometric Bead Array assay. Uninfected mice served as negative controls. * = p<0.01 compared to uninfected mice. ** = p<0.01 compared to uninfected and infected, untreated animals. *** = p<0.05 compared to all other groups. Error bars represent SEM. Data is representative of 2 experiments of similar design.
