Postexposure treatment of mice with TriGAS promotes survival of infection with DOG4 RV. Groups of 10 adult C57BL/6 mice were infected i.n. with 10⁵ FFU of DOG4 RV and 4 h later treated i.m. (in the masseter muscle) with PBS (mock treatment) or 10⁷ FFU of TriGAS as described in Materials and Methods. Ten uninfected, untreated mice served as controls. The mice were observed for 4 weeks, and survival (A) and body weight (B) are presented. The error bars indicate standard errors (±SE) .
