Observations of the marine environment-isolated Cellulophaga lytica. (A) The first isolation plate shows colored C. lytica colonies together with agarolytic and white bacterial colonies; (B) the second shows a pure culture of C. lytica observed under direct epi-illumination allowing examination of the intense structural color.
