The subjects held the hand gripper between thumb and index finger. The force transducer was taped on the inside of the thumb to register the exerted force and the goniometer was taped on thumb and index finger to register movements of the two fingers. The hand gripper had spring like properties, i.e. the more the force increased the more the two handles were approached to each other.
