Three possible models of counteracting the autoinhibition: (i) by disruption of autoinhibitory helix HI1 interactions and its disorder upon binding to a single EBS [35], (ii) by replacement of helix HI1 by induced helix HI1′ upon binding to a palindromic EBS [36], (iii) and by direct competition with autoinhibitory sequences upon binding to widely separated EBSs (this report).
