Chemical structures of the bifunctional compounds used for surface production. The parent compound 1 is an RGD-based small molecule, which possesses a linker bearing an amine group for conjugation to other moieties. Amine 1 can be functionalized to append biotin (2) or a biotin with an oligoethylene glycol ((EG)4) linker (3).
