Effect of galanin-like peptide (GALP) in mice lacking interleukin-1β (IL-1β −/−). GALP or vehicle was injected intracerebroventricularly (icv) into wild-type or IL-1β −/− mice. Food intake (A) and the change in body weight (B) were assessed at 24 h. Core body temperature was monitored continuously for 24 h but for clarity, data are plotted as change (Δ) in body temperature for 0-10 h only (C and D). Analysis of the change in core body temperature over 0-10 h after injections is illustrated in Table 1.
