No significantly increased expression of the adenosine deaminase, ADAR1 (A) or ADAR2 (B) in the hippocampus. No significantly increased expression of the hypothalamic adenosine deaminase, ADAR1 (C) or ADAR2 (D) in hypothalamus during the day. No significantly increased expression of the hypothalamic adenosine deaminase, ADAR1 (E) at nighttime. However, ADAR2 mRNA levels at nighttime are significantly reduced in hypothalamus of ob/ob mice (F). All mRNA is measured using qRT-PCR relative to β-actin expression.
