This list does not take into account disorders currently represented on lists other than DYT or PARK which can present with predominant parkinsonism (e.g., some spinocerebellar ataxias).
Due to a founder effect, genetic testing is possible. The pathogenicity of the TAF1 gene is not absolutely confirmed; however, testing of selected variants in this gene is sufficient for the diagnosis.
For these entries, the gene has been identified but the Human Genome Organisation Gene Nomenclature Committee has not yet provided a gene name. To make it clear that the gene has been identified, we use the protein name in these locus symbols.
