Effects of 8-MOP on NNK-induced O6-mG adduct formation in the liver and lung of Cyp2a5-null mice
Two-month-old female Cyp2a5-null mice were pretreated with 8-MOP (at 0, 12.5, or 50 mg/kg, p.o.) in 0.2 ml of corn oil once daily for 3 consecutive days. One hour after the final injection of 8-MOP, NNK was given at a dose of 100 mg/kg i.p., and tissue levels of O6-mG and total guanine were determined at 4 h after the NNK injection. Data represent means ± S.D. (n = 4).
