CYP2E1KO mice are protected against HFD-induced expression of proinflammatory cytokines. Four-week-old WT (open bars) and CYP2E1KO mice (filled bars) were maintained on NCD or HFD for 12 wk. Blood was collected following a 14-h fast, and plasma levels of TNFα (A) and IL-6 (B) levels were determined as described under experimental procedures.
