NTHi-activated c-Jun binds the AP-1 motifs of CXCL2. A, ChIP-PCR analysis shows that c-Jun binds the AP-1 motifs of CXCL2 in response to NTHi. B, ChIP-qPCR analysis shows that PD98059 inhibits NTHi-induced binding of c-Jun to both AP-1 motifs. Results were expressed as fold-induction, taking the value of the non-treated group as 1. The experiments were performed in triplicate and repeated twice. Values are given as the mean ± standard deviation (n = 3). *: p < 0.05.
