Hnrpab disruption leads to increased neurite length. Primary neurons from Hnrpab^+/− and Hnrpab^−/− E18 mouse hippocampus were dissociated and plated, then maintained in culture for 2 d prior to fixation. Cells were immunostained for βIII-tubulin, and distance that β-III tubulin extended from the cell body was measured as neurite length. All neurite lengths (A) or longest neurite lengths (B) were plotted with a box-whisker plot and statistics were performed using the Mann-Whitney rank sum test on the median values.
