SseF increases the histone acetylation activity of TIP60. HAT assays were performed using recombinant MBP-TIP60 protein as acetyltransferase and histone as the substrate in the presence of (A) GST-SseF1-66, SseF-M45, GST, or (B) His-SseF, His-SseG. Acetylated histones were detected by Western blot using the pan-acetyl antibody.
