LAD2 human mast cells were sensitised with 100 ng/ml IgE for 24 h followed by 2 h of exposure to increasing concentrations of anti-IgE. HIF-1α accumulation, VEGF mRNA expression/VEGF release, histamine and TNF-α release as well as intracellular ATP levels were analysed as described in Materials and methods. Quantitative data are mean values ± S.D. of at least three individual experiments. * indicates p<0.01 vs. control. All Western blot data are from one experiment representative of three that gave similar results.
