This diagram presents data from NCBI on the locations of predicted and confirmed genes found within the bovine LRC, located on 18q13.4, and compared to the annotated human LRC located on 19q13.4. This data is correct at time of print, although is subject to change due to unallocated genomic scaffolds within the bovine genome. The basic arrangement of the bovine LRC is almost the reverse of the human LRC, with a few exceptions. The KIR and FCaR can be found at the centromeric end of the bovine LRC, whereas in the human LRC they are located at the telomeric end. The LILR are upstream of the KIR in the human LRC, compared to the bovine LRC, where the BL are found downstream of predicted KIR. Furthermore, OSCAR, LENG1, CNOT3 and MBOAT7 are located at the telomeric end of the bovine LRC, compared to the centromeric end of the human LRC.
