PKA and MAPK signaling in vma13Δ cells. (A) VMA13 deletion leads to activation of the Ste20 and PKA pathways. Agar invasion by the indicated strains was determined as described in the legend to Fig. 5A. (B) Deletion of either VMA2 or VMA3 partially suppresses the agar invasion defect of ste20Δ cells. The experiment was performed as described in the legend to Fig. 5A. (C) Deletion of STE11 or STE7 results in only a moderate filamentation defect. Agar invasion was determined as described in the legend to Fig. 5A.
