Antibody titers were assessed with the use of a noncommercial indirect immunofluorescence assay at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with the use of a commercial indirect immunofluorescence assay (testing for IgG antibody but not IgM antibody) at the Mayo Clinic.
