Effect of sodium azide and DPI on H2O2 production after treatment with F. oxysporum cell wall elicitor in Ler (wt), IG-2, and IG-3 cell cultures. Arabidopsis Ler (wt), IG-2, and IG-3 were filtered and resuspended in fresh medium at 250 mg mL−1. After recovery, the cells were pretreated for 15 min with 2 mm sodium azide (A) or 0.2 μm DPI (B) followed by 100 μg mL−1 F. oxysporum extract. At 20-min intervals, H2O2 production was measured by the xylenol orange assay, as described in “Materials and Methods,” and normalized against Ler (wt). Errors bars represent sd of three independent experiments with two technical replicates each.
