Synergistic degradation of bubble DNA requires exonuclease-proficient WRN and exonuclease-proficient Pol δ. Wild-type WRN (50 fmol) was mixed with three different amounts (30, 100, and 300 fmol; indicated as 1, 2, and 3, respectively) of exonuclease-minus Pol δ (D402A) (A), or wild-type Pol δ (60 fmol) was combined with increasing amounts (3–25 fmol; represented as 1–4) of exonuclease-minus WRN (B).
