Model of 5HT2C modulation of the NMDA channel. The 5HT2C receptor and NMDA channel are shown in close proximity. We hypothesize activation of 5HT2C receptors results in phosphorylation of SrcTyr-416, which then modifies the GluN2A subunit of the NMDA channel to increase channel open times in response to an agonist.
