Gat1p crescents do not co-localize with peroxisomes. Wild type cells expressing endogenous levels of Gat1-GFP or Gat2-GFP were crossed with a strain expressing endogenous levels of Pex3-RFP. The selected diploids were pre-grown to mid-log phase in defined medium containing 2% glucose (A, upper panels) and then transferred to medium containing 0.1% oleic acid for 48 h (B, lower panels).
