(d) Percentages of apoptotic cells, as assayed by cleaved caspase-3 staining and flow cytometry, following knockdown of the indicated genes and 24 h of serum stimulation. (e) Cells were infected with the indicated shRNA retroviruses or with a non-silencing control shRNA. Puromycin-selected cells were trypsinized and plated in duplicate for colony formation assay. After 10–12 days of culture, cells were fixed and stained with crystal violet. A representative experiment is shown.
