Accumulation of serpentine, catharanthine, ajmalicine, and tabersonine in two empty vector control, three independent CrWRKY1, and three independent CrWRKY1-SRDX hairy root lines. On an equal dry weight basis, alkaloid extracts from control, CrWRKY1, and CrWRKY1-SRDX lines were analyzed by HPLC-diode array detection and LC-MS/MS, and the levels of serpentine, ajmalicine, and catharanthine were estimated based on peak areas. All experiments were performed in triplicate. Error bars represent sd.
