Higher fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF23) levels are associated with increased CKD progression. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis shows that higher FGF23 levels are associated with faster CKD progression, defined as (A) entering CKD stage 5 or ≥50% reduction in eGFR or (B) entering CKD stage 5 or ≥25% reduction in estimated GFR within 10 years.
