Plots of the nanoparticle coverage on three different fiber tapers as a function of the local curvature, and for different deposition times. As in Fig.2, the only fitting parameter was $n_S$. The strong dependence of particle density on curvature is particularly clear here. The inset SEM images are of 2 μm × 2 μm areas and are taken from the micrographs used to generate the indicated data points.
