The study had two phases. Firstly baseline measurements of both types of suppression were quantified across a range of mask orientations (A). One orientation that produced measureable suppression was then chosen for each type of mask for psychophysical measurements made during anodal and cathodal tDCS (B and C). The sequence of stimulus presentation was randomized within each session.
