Cultures were prepared as outlined in Materials and Methods section. A minimum of three wells were exposed to NSV or poly(I:C) as described in Materials and Methods section. Cytokine and chemokine concentrations were measured by ELISA in culture supernatants 24 h later using ELISA-specific for IL-12p40 (A), IFN-α (B, C), CCL2 (D) and CXCL13 (E). The production of these mediators was measured using primary cells prepared on two separate occasions.
