PD-L1 blockade does not correct shelterin dysfunction in HIV-1-specific CD8 T cells. PBMC from HIV-1 progressors were labeled with CFSE and stimulated with overlapping peptides corresponding to HIV-1 gag. On day 6, proliferating CFSE^low and nonproliferating CFSE^high tetramer-positive CD8 T cells were sorted.
