Phylogenetic analysis of the megalocytivirus MCP. The tree was constructed by the neighbor-joining method [43] using MEGA (version 4) [44]. Tamura and Nei’s parameters and pair-wise deletion of gap handling were selected. The numbers indicate the percentage bootstrap support for each node from 1,000 replicates. The tree was rooted using MCP sequences from Singapore grouper iridovirus (SGIV), genus Ranavirus. Stop codons were excluded from the analysis.The red arrow shows the position of African lampeye iridovirus (ALIV). Accession numbers, host, year sampled, and location of isolation are attached to each OTU.
