(a) Splenocytes or peripheral lymph node cells from 18 day-old Ptpn2^{− /−} (BALB/c) mice, 18 day-old Ptpn2^{ex2−/ex2−} mice and their corresponding littermates were stained with fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies against CD4, CD8 and TCRβ and analysed by flow cytometry and absolute numbers determined. (b) Splenocytes or peripheral lymph node cells from 28 day-old Ptpn2^{ex2−/ex2−} mice, 29 day-old Ptpn2^−/− (C57BL/6) mice and their corresponding littermates were stained with fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies against CD4, CD8 and TCRβ and analysed by flow cytometry and absolute numbers determined.
