T2-weighted MR-images shows a ponto-mesencephalic high signal hemorrhage (arrow) within the pontine and mesencephalic tegmentum anterior to the forth ventricle the axial (A) and sagittal plane (B) 14 days after symptom onset. Follow-up MR after 4 months reveals hypertrophy and prominence of the right ION as illustrated in the axial (C), coronal (D), and sagittal (E) plane images. Note the defect within pontine tegmentum (arrow) following resorption of hemorrhage.
