Motility of EZ : : TN mutants. Wild-type M2 and various EZ : : TN insertion mutants were grown overnight in LB broth and adjusted to the same optical density with sterile LB broth. A 1 µl drop was placed on the surface of a 0.35 % Eiken agar plate and motility was measured after 8 h of growth at 37 °C. The values presented represent the average of two independent experiments with the ranges shown as error bars.
