Conversion of progesterone to 5β-DHP and 3β, 5β-THP in the quail brain. HPLC analysis of neurosteroids extracted from quail brain homogenates after different incubation times with 3H-progesterone using a reversed-phase column. The column was eluted with an isocratic elution of 70% acetonitrile. The ordinate indicates the radioactivity measured in each HPLC fraction.
