Alignment of the AKH receptor protein sequences from insects and gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor of Caenorhabditis elegans used in the phylogenetic analysis. The alignment was carried out using ClustalW program. A black background indicates the amino acids are identical among species, whereas a gray background shows similarity among residues. The red underline indicates the insertion present in both cockroach species. The abbreviated names of sequences used are provided in Figure 1B.
