Sunitinib leads to reduced mRNA expression of HSD3B and CYP11B1. (A) CYP11B1 mRNA expression in NCI-H295 cells was investigated using quantitative PCR using β-actin as a standard. We observed a dose-dependent reduction to 78.6 ± 12.7% (1 μM), 61 ± 3%* (5 μM), and 48 ± 7%** (10 μM) compared to control (100 ± 18%). (B) HSD3B2 mRNA was demonstrated to be down-regulated to 47 ± 7%** (1 μM), 33 ± 7%** (5 μM), 27 ± 6%** (10 μM, control: 100 ± 27; p < 0.01). *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 compared to control.
