BS-C-1 cells were incubated with DiD-labeled DENV in the presence or absence of different dilutions of LCTA-949 (6.25 µM, 12.5 µM and 25.0 µM). Virus cell binding was assessed after 1 h incubation at 4°C and the relative extent of membrane fusion was determined at 20 min p.i. at 37°C. (A) The percentage of binding or fusion inhibition of LCTA-949 was calculated with respect to the positive non-treated control. Ammonium chloride and chlorpromazine were used as negative controls in the fusion assay. The average of three independent experiments is shown ± SD.
