Acquisition of aged and young adult monkeys on the standard version of the SOSS task with a 5s ITI. Across the first 20 sessions of SOSS learning, young animals showed a steady learning curve, while aged animals’ performance remained flat and showed no evidence of learning. By session number 3, young animals consistently performed better than aged animals at every session (*p < 0.05; data points are mean ± SEM).
