A: 2BT cells were infected with wild-type EPEC and then plasma membrane proteins in 2BT cells were labeled by cell surface biotinylation and then pulled down by streptavidin as described in materials and methods. Surface protein (biotinylated) and total cellular proteins were separated by electrophoresis, and ASBT-V5 fusion protein was then detected by Western blot analysis using anti-V5 antibodies.
