Recently 2 screens have focused on identifying proteins whose O-GlcNAcylation status responds to cellular injury (heat stress, hydrogen peroxide, hypoxia, urea, and trauma hemorrhage). Such proteins are listed here only if their O-GlcNAcylation status was confirmed either by immunoblot or the O-GlcNAc-peptide linkage was confirmed by mass spectrometry.
