Comparison of the apoptotic index ratio (AIR) between responder (RG) and non-responder groups (NRG). AIR was calculated to compare the AI prior to treatment with that after a radiation dose of 10 Gy. The AIR of RG was significantly higher than that of NRG. Statistical analysis was performed by a Mann-Whitney U test. Each mean ± SD of RG and NRG is shown.
