Metabolic profiling from UV-B-irradiated leaves. Metabolites from maize leaves from irradiated (IL) and shielded (SL) leaves from maize plants that were covered with a plastic sheath that absorbs UV-B, and only two adult leaves per plant were irradiated with UV-B radiation during 5, 10, 15, 30, and 90 min. As a control, samples from non-irradiated leaves (C) were included.
