GzmA causes nuclear retention of newly synthesized RNA. HeLa cells were labeled with BrU during treatment with PFN with or without 1 μM GzmA. Cells were fixed after 1 h and stained for BrdU, which also recognizes BrU (green), and DAPI (blue). Most newly synthesized RNA was retained in the nucleus after treatment with PFN and GzmA.
