Kinetic parameters for the interaction of RAGE with immobilized CS isoforms, HS, and heparin
The ka, kd, and Kd values were determined using a 1:1 Langmuir binding model with mass transfer as described under “Experimental Procedures.” The value for each CS variant, HS, and heparin preparation were expressed as the mean ± S.E. of five different concentrations. Note that the Kd values of CS-A and CS-C could not be determined due to the weak interaction with RAGE (Fig. 2).
